May 6: A day before the official Mehendi ceremony, the fashionista and her closest family/friends had a pre-wedding ceremony where the bride-to-be adorned her hands with the beautiful henna designs. Along with her, the pretty Kapoor sisters also applied Mehendi and participated in the wedding festivities! Videos and pictures of the pre-wedding celebrations have been doing rounds across the social media where the whole family is seen enjoying and dancing to the tunes of popular wedding songs.

May 7: It had begun! The paparazzi had a busy day at the official Sonam Kapoor Mehendi function where celebs were lined up to attend the most anticipated event of the season. From the veteran diva Rekha to Sonam’s friends Jacqueline Fernandez, Katrina Kaif and Swara Bhaskar, many B-town stars were seen at the ceremony. It was hard for Anil Kapoor to contain his excitement on her eldest daughter’s wedding as he flaunted his bhangra skills throughout the ceremony with his fav co-stars and family/friends. Dressed in traditional white/ivory theme, Sonam was gorgeousness in the Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla outfit on the occasion and Anand was seen in an off-white bandhgala suit.

May 8 – Wedding: Everyone kept refreshing their feeds for the latest updates on the Sonam Kapoor – Anand Ahuja Wedding, and they weren’t disappointed! The social media was flooded with pictures and videos of celebs arriving for #sonamkishaadi. From Bollywood biggies like Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan to Sonam’s Veeres Kareena and Swara to the Toddler Nawab, Taimur, no one dared to miss the wedding of the year. The couple got married according to the Anand Karaj ritual and exchanged vows for a lifetime of togetherness and happiness. Sonam was the perfect bride in Anuradha Vakil red lehenga and the groom was seen wearing bandhgala by Raghuvendra Rathore.

May 8 – Reception: It was one of those special events where the whole of Bollywood came together to celebrate the wedding of the most favorite daughter of tinsel town! Just like the starry night, Sonam Kapoor looked dazzling in the Anamika Khanna lehenga. As the night grew, so did the celebrations with performances by Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor, Mika Singh. The night-long affair was no less than a Bollywood number with a lot of masti and naach-gaana.
